We let the market decide which whiskies to include to avoid artificial bias that could arise from manually selecting the whiskies. It is those whiskies which appeared in the most round of auctions. Please note that our indices are market value-weighted, meaning that more expensive whiskies have a higher index weight. Unbalanced indices are avoided by further capping this weight.
